I conceived, secured approval for, and launched the proprietary core operational platform (LOX) on Kubernetes and containers in May 2024—replacing legacy risks with 1500+ unit tests (from zero), cutting AWS costs by $600K/year, and authoring a 100+ page logic manual for long-term clarity after pivoting leadership to a full rebuild.
At Gartner post-CEB acquisition, I built a multi-tenant LMS in 3 months that saved $500K/year, became the go-to custom software expert for build-vs-buy decisions, pivoted Evanta to a virtual conference platform in 3 months during COVID, and challenged a doomed SugarCRM rollout—paving the way for Salesforce enterprise-wide—while rerouting a botched network to save 250 employees from a 20Mbps meltdown.
Before that, at Evanta, I grew a startup from 10 to 250 people over 12 years, rising from Director to VP, building two platforms—BlueHawk and its SaaS successor EventBeyond, also on Kubernetes and containers, which landed four paying clients pre-acquisition—plus an event playbook; I wrote the sales docs and pitched it in the ‘dog and pony show,’ driving four acquisitions by Daily Mail, NYC VC, CEB, and Gartner (via CEB).
